Business Plan - 7 Easy Steps to Create Your Business Plan 2008

You took a little 'time last week to think about
your resolutions for 2008? (I bet you have!)

Resolutions create energy and promise. However, if
we only have a list of goals and "things" we would like
to achieve without the "Action Plan", those under-
achieved resolutions can end up with us even
Depressed!

This year, we are willing to try something different
in setting business goals for 2008? It is possible to
create what I call Your Simple Business Plan
through the following 7 simple steps that will outline
for you.

Your Simple Business Plan includes only 4
objectives to be achieved in your business within
the following year. 4 goals may not seem like much, but,
believe me, it's probably more than enough with
everything else you have going on in your life!
(Your Simple Business Plan is a 1 year plan
which is actually part of a much larger strategic plan
have for your business.)

Oh, one more thought, the resolutions are not only
your business and career, I'm sure you'll be thinking
goals for your personal life as well. Before
Simple Plan grow your business, take a
few minutes to think about how well your life in general is
balanced personal goals, and set, as well as
business objectives.

Here are the 7 steps you can take to measure
the balance of life, and create your Simple
Business Plan:

1. Measure your life balance

Before developing a vision for your business on
next year, consider this:

Your business should support and help achieve
Your outlook on life and goals. If you set only business-
associated objectives, it decreases the chances of having a
well balanced, happy life, and achieve
business goals!

Before moving on to phase 2, I encourage you to
measure your life balance. The areas of life to measure
have your financial situation and career, social and
cultural situations, spirituality and ethics, and family
home, mental and educational levels, and physical
wellbeing and health.

Use The Wheel of Life to measure
satisfaction in different areas of your life. In a
scale from 1 to 10 (where 1 is low and 10 is high), ask
As you're satisfied with life than
areas on the wheel. You can find some other objectives
you want to work beyond business objectives to
help create the vision of the life you want.

You see, this is the reason 4 with business objectives is more
than enough to work on the realization, because it is not
ALL you're going to do in 2008 to have a happy and well
balanced life!

2. Create your Business Vision 1 year.

Good job completing The Wheel of Life! Now you
ready to create your 1-year Vision Business.

One of my favorite exercises is to create an exciting
and vivid glimpse of what I want my company to look like
next year. Let your imagination run and
kind of distance, being careful to record every thought,
dream, and the direction you want your company to take.
Give yourself permission to dream and to "think big".

3. Review the business goals of last year.

Before you determine your objectives for 2008, review your 2007
business objectives. You get what you start
do? If so, congratulations! Otherwise, these objectives are still
relevant? Recognize the progress you have made,
But, do not cry for the goals you have achieved. Move
forward with the new or revised goals for the future.

4. Choose a theme.

Usually 1 year of exercise of vision, a theme (or
themes) to emerge on what seems right to focus
the next year. It may be building relationships,
development of the product, or application of a new
marketing plan to grow your business.

Choose a theme (or themes) that will focus on
the achievement of objectives. (Choose no more than two
themes!)

5. Choose 4 Goals to focus within your theme
(S).

Choose a goal that follows the general theme
(S) to work on each quarter. For example, if the
theme is 'increasing awareness of the market', the first
fourth objective would be to add new '25 sales representative
reference list of business contacts. ' The second
fourth objective would be to 'publish 12 articles on-line' or
do a podcast. Develop additional targets for quarters
three and four.

6. Break Down every objective quarterly monthly
Weekly and daily

Now that you know what you want to focus on each
quarter figure out what to do every month,
week, and the day of that quarter to achieve your goal. This
is your action plan!

A good idea is to treat every project as a goal. Make a
list of all the tasks you must accomplish to reach your
objective. Buy a notebook with inside pockets and a clear
front cover. Put your list of activities inside the front cover
pocket. Keep all your work documents, articles, and
resources needed to accomplish your goal in this
ONE notebook. At the completion of tasks, control them
from your list so you can see and measure your progress.

WARNING: Most people skip this step after
they
develop their goals. If you break your goal elephant
in small steps, I can guarantee to achieve your goals
will be easier!

7. Get support

Friend with a colleague or hire a coach to keep you
on track and moving forward. The check-in at least once
weeks with the other to ensure forward progress, and
celebrate your victories!

If you follow the 7 steps I have outlined for you, from this
next year, you will be amazed, and glorified the
the goals you have accomplished with your simple
Business Plan!
