Dubai Traffic Scenario - Today Bad, worse tomorrow

A major problem in Dubai is facing today is the obstruction of traffic in the area. There is a huge rush of traffic on the roads, unnecessary jams and road accidents on the rise. All this has led to a life uncertain trip to Dubai City. Population is almost two times over the past five years and with this there is an augment in the switching current. This has led to over-crowding of roads, parking lots and vehicles. Important tourist sites, including Al Sufouh, Dubai Marina and Jumeirah Beach Residence are the ones facing the crowd up these days. There is an overflow of the population in these areas, subsequently resulting in traffic jams worse every day. It 'actually become an extravagant travel to Dubai in particular along these areas.

The condition of the roads is pitiful in most regions. Where some areas skirmish with traffic diversions, many of which remain to hamper both heavy vehicles like trucks and some construction, which is a common place now a days. The roads have been dug in various places, and the situation is so sad that traveling small distance it takes longer than expected. On an average, which covers one kilometer requires up to 35-40 minutes on average. According to travelers, one of the main reasons for the decrepit condition of the traffic as are the narrow roads that do not support or heavy traffic on both sides. Most of them are one-way and therefore prone to accidents.

The standard of living in Dubai is high due to significant revenue and income. Everyone is looking for a luxurious life and this has increased the ownership of vehicles by citizens. People prefer private vehicles, rather than switching modes civilians. The annual increase of vehicles in the city is about 4500 and almost 135 vehicles are registered every day. Dubai Marina is a quiet area in terms of traffic and many people moved here in view of alleviating road. But soon the situation was the same everywhere. Now Dubai Marina is one of the most populated areas of Dubai. In addition to this, New Dubai is reported to have excess population according to statistics of roads and Transport Authority of Dubai. It is expected that the population of Dubai Marina and Jumeirah Beach Residence will mount to 11,000 by 2015 and a similar increase will result in a hoist in Dubai Media City leading the population to 42,000.

With the increasing population, traffic is likely to boost too. Even today there is a shortage of parking and people have to park their vehicles away from their destination. If this was not, there are few areas such as Dubai Internet City and Dubai Media City, which does not offer parking at all. Almost 30,125 traffic accidents occurred in the last ten years, which is a huge number compared to other cities in the world. The problem seems to be growing with each passing day, and increase the number of road accidents in Dubai thus becomes more inevitable .......
