How to put music on PSP - step by step guide

One of the functions available in the PSP is the ability to play music in MP3 format in particular. Some PSP will also be able to play any other music files such as Window very own WMA and WMV, but we will get the next one. However, these are limited to a new version of PSP. This is a rundown on how to put music on PSP.

The measures adopted have different transfer all files from the PC to the PSP memory stick. To put music on PSP you will need a USB cable.

Here's how to put music on PSP:

1. Connect your PSP to your PC using the USB cable.

2. Use the PSP interface and hit HOME button, and then go to "Settings". Here you will need to use
direction button to find "USB Connection"

3. Once connected, you will need to check your PC drives available. You can do this
go to "My Computer". Your PC should detect your PSP, and as an additional drive. Is not very
different from using a portable drive or pen drive into reality.

4. Click on your assigned PSP drive.

5. Create a new folder called "music" on your hard PSP

6. Select your MP3 music from your PC and drag the folder "music" on your PSP. Note that all
This is done in the PC interface.

7. When all the desired MP3 are transferred, exit the USB connection by pressing the "O" on
PSP.

8. Find the area of music in your PSP, and select your memory stick. Find the folder "music" and
you're good to go.

If you have other types of music in PC, ie WMV or WMA files, you will need a converter to convert files in MP3 format. Do not worry though, as Sony PSP will also provide the user with its very own Image Converter. You can easily convert WMA and WMV files to MP3 format and repeat the entire process on how to put music on PSP.

On the other hand, if you want to play WMV and WMA files without converting MP3 files, you can always upgrade the firmware to the latest firmware for PSP. However, I do not recommend this (upgrading the firmware PSP) as it will severely limit your PSP experience. Some of the effects of PSP firmware update is that some games you have will not work on your PSP with the latest firmware. There are forums dedicated to downgrade your PSP like a lot of people want to return to their old firmware.

"How to put music on your PSP?" has been asked countless times and using PSP interface is as easy as transferring files to your USB thumb drive. I hope this helps articles....
