5 ways to advertise my website for free using the Internet

Seriously, you have a website you just created and now you need traffic. There are many ways to get people to come to your site for free. Here are some of my favorite methods.

Writing Articles

Personally I think this is a very slow way to generate traffic in advance, but in the long run becomes very valuable. Over time, search engines rank your items up and up and that's why you see people later on. Writing articles is probably the easiest way to advertise your site. Just commit yourself to write an article every day.

Create Videos

The video is something that can bring the lazy people to your site. These people are usually too lazy to read something and rather than watching. All you have to do is make a video that explains what your site is all about. Just do not forget to give them a link. Try sites like Youtube, Daily Motion, Metacafe, and Veoh.

Join the community

Allow communities to build a relationship with people. Once you have a relationship of trust that people set out your website and become faithful followers. All you have to do is interact with people who are interested in the subject of your site and then recommend it. Some online communities include Digg, Yahoo Answers and specific forum.

Repeat Traffic - E-mail

All these methods have something that other e-mail only able to provide, and that is getting the same people to visit your website. When you promote with articles, the person will probably only see your site once, that's all. With e-mail that may have people coming back every time. All you have to do is send e-mail once in a while to remind people that the site still exists. You might send them an email every time you update your content, have a special promotion, etc. You will be surprised how many people respond.

Viral EBook

This is a very unique way. All you have to do is write a short report or a book that provides people with valuable information. Then include links to your website in eBook. I recommend writing at least 10 pages. The twist to this is to allow others to distribute your eBook to their friends and customers. Many people will take the offer and your eBook will spread like a virus. For this reason, the term virus is used. You can also submit your book to eBook directories.
