How to Gain Weight? - 3 Things You Need to Know skinny people to gain weight

If you're a guy or girl you're thin and searching for information on how to gain weight, then no doubt you feel tired and nauseous to the constant barrage of television programs with media diet gurus, telling people how LOSE weight, but virtually neglecting what a person can actually do to gain weight.

What's worse is that I'm sure even, probably, some people look at you with jealousy when I say no matter how hard you try and how much you eat, just can not seem to raise a few extra pounds. Most people simply do not understand how frustrating it can be to want to gain weight and feel you can not.

However, do not worry. The good news is there are steps you can take if you are thinking how to gain weight.

Two different meanings of "Weight"

When a person says he wants to gain weight, does not really increase fat, but often too afraid to gain muscle and say, "I do not want to be a bodybuilder or something."

Unfortunately, there are only two ways to gain weight, fat or muscle. And the problem with gaining fat is often a distributed unevenly on your body, with little regard to where you want them.

Building muscle and doing some weight training as part of your weekly exercise routine is the single best way how to gain weight without becoming an obese person. No need to panic ... Do not end up like a bodybuilder.

Also, muscle weighs more than fat, so a little extra muscle will make a huge difference in your overall weight.

Avoid the same old Cardio Exercises

These are used to burn fat and lose weight, not increase it. As mentioned above, the best thing you can do is add some weights to your routine and start training above your comfort zone. That's the only way to increase muscle mass and therefore extra weight.

Many repetitions and many sets with light weights, neither will achieve-that is best done to achieve muscle tone and stamina. You need to continually increase the resistance to force your muscles to grow, so that limits the number of 4-8 repetitions per set, and about 8-10 sets for your entire training session (ie, including all your exercises).

Eat More To Gain Weight

Consume more calories, about 500-1000 per day, and make 6 smaller meals, spread throughout the day. This will keep your metabolism consistently and sustain a constant supply of energy, feeding your muscles.

Increase your protein intake to about one gram of protein per pound of body weight (so if you weigh 150 pounds, then you'll need at least 150 grams of protein per day).

Try adding protein powder to your daily diet and use them as one of your meals in the form of a milkshake with the addition of a banana, strawberries or other fruits. There are some good protein powders on the market, such as 100% Whey, and other specially designed to help you gain weight quickly and healthily.
